71st Annual Brother Mathias
Celebration of Faith and Service

Thursday, March 17th 6 pm-8 pm

A History of the Celebration

Every year since Brother Mathias founded Good Shepherd Center in 1951, St. Patrick's Day has signified the celebration of both Brother Mathias' birthday and Good Shepherd Center's ministry to the community.

The Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner is historically a chance for us to give thanks for all the support our community has shown those most in need through the Good Shepherd Center. Unfortunately, this year, as with last year, will be a virtual celebration of Faith and Service in an abundance of caution regarding COVID-19 safety.

Then and Now

Even though Brother Mathias is no longer with us, we carry on his tradition of respect for all people through ministry to those in need of shelter, respite, recovery, clothing, or food.
We come together to celebrate not just what he did for the community, but also the community that reaches out to help their neighbors
